Did I take Your Picture in September or October?

I thought I had fashion over dose and couldn't take one more "fashion event", but after walking through the doors of the Armory Wednesday night and spying all there was to see about Philadelphia Fashion Week I realized that this was not your typical fashion show event Philly has gotten so used to, this was a tricked out CMK Entertainment style event, and I realized I was in for a treat and if you hurry you can be too. Above in the yellow scarf is the K in CMK Entertainment: Kristie Bergey, with L-R Alex McCromick, Taylor Tobolski, and Chelsea Feeser at the entrance to the 23rd Street Armory.

  • I try at least once a week to do a bar/restaurant crawl myself. To photograph interesting people, gather stories, talk to my favorite doormen see what's going on, who's out etc. Saturday night I did just that. The City was humming with lots of activity, the Midtown Fall Festival had brought a lot of visitors in town, I had just seen Jersey Boys at the Forrest Theater, Wharton's boxer crawl, and Liji Chacko and friends were celebrating her upcoming wedding on October 30 at G Lounge. Friday night LeSean McCoy was in the house partying at G Lounge. So if you see me wandering around the streets of Philly, call out HughE and maybe you'll see your photo in these pages.
  • Nicole Simon-Goner, Sid Simon, Bartash Printing, Manny Pokotilow, Marcy Panzer and Linda Simon. Southwest Philadelphia-based Bartash Printing publishes the magazine and is excited about the new project.
  • Piero Catrille and Stacy Rosman found something special to remember the night.
  • Looking comfortable and cool these Italian girls Lauren O'Dorisio and Sabrina Tamburino-Thorne enjoyed a night out on the town. Good to see the social season back in full swing in Philly as these two girls spent nearly every weekend down the shore lighting up their summer nights.
  • Kristen Campbell, Elise Gilbert, Suzi Steim, Casey Andreson and Jason Duran. It's nice to see Elise out and about since her beau Andrew Rosenthal left to obtain his MBA at Harvard University.
  • Saturday night Donavan McNabb, Rasheed Wallace and Charles Barclay had dinner at Capital Grill. McNabb reportedly headed back to the Sofitel Hotel, and Barclay headed to Alfa on Walnut Street. No doubt he ran into more than his share of scantily clad guys and girls as it was the Wharton MBA students suits and boxer shorts bar crawl.
  • 4 KB Consultants alumni. Laura Powers, Kate Ryan, Christie Honigman, Caitlin Joyce, and (not an alumni) Katie Seiverling, Cheerio!! (Note to Janine, this is an inside cherrio to Laura as she is about to give notice to KB that she's moving to England at the end of the month.)
  • George Anni and Valanni's PR Katie Ryan celebrate the successful night where about 400 folks came out to support the annual event. Others spotted in the crowd, Chris Gabello, Melissa DiPento, Jonathan Welsch, Megan Hanner, DD Starr, Nina Levere, KT Weber, Rachel Day, Zander Taketomo and Kate Beaver.
  • Look for a huge blowout as Valanni celebrates it's 10th Anniversary soon. Above: Virgina Chonko and Jessica McGranaghan
  • The runway was stocked with some of the hottest fashions of the 50’s showcasing local designers; South Moon Under, Three Sirens Boutique, Sorella Boutique (of Media, PA), VAMP Boutique (of Manayunk), and Senor Custom Clothiers during the fourth annual fashion show hosted by Valanni's with co-hosts Christina Bank and Arthur Kade. Christina serenaded us with her lovely voice, and AK had them rolling in the gutters, really he's a funny guy. He was telling us all that he'd like to play twister on this girls dress.

  • As expected fashion was found not only on the catwalk, but among the sylish folks walking about the hall. Renata Certo-Ware, a fashion blogger (SCORPIONDISCO.COM), was wearing one of her favorite items in her closet. It's a sleeveless Turkish coat by Ümit Ünal. She bought it in Istanbul, where she married her Turkish husband. With her is BFF Susie Talbot, who is busy working with the Philadelphia Film Festival which kicks off next week.
  • Reggie Berry, linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles Moise Fokou, Cornelius Ingram, Jackiem Wright
  • Guillaume Perrin, Adam Rotwitt, Jr. Vice President at Sun Center Studios and Aly Green in the VIP lounge at Phila Fashion Week.
  • KYW3's Nicole Brewer handles the MC duties in style.

  • Lady Gaga inspires. Earlier this week she was listed on the Forbes 100 of the World's Most Powerful Women list at #6, beating out a whole bunch of folks including Philly's Lynn Laverty Elsenhans, Sunoco's Chairperson (36) & Designer Tory Burch (88).

  • Thursday night was student night, open to all ages with no liquor served on-site. I was disappointed that the turn out was a little light since the fashion was fierce, the ticket price was just right at $35. Don't let this event pass you by or you're gonna miss something special, tonights tickets start at $75. Left to right: Fashion students from Art Institute, Daimon Arrington, designer, Jessica LaPrade, designer, Sandy Kea, Sary Rin, designer.
  • Tutu cute, a young girl shops at Pat and Larry Marin's Traci Lynn jewelery pop-up shot. In between shows there was always some kind of entertainment for you to enjoy if you didn't feel like walking around or shopping at the many wonderful boutiques, or people watch or visit the bar, which I encourage you to do. Walk around, notice people, their styles, fashion is happening not only on the runway buy among the people at the event.
