  • Elizabeth Scudder, Matthew Izzo, Elizabeth Welllington, Pat Cirrocchi, Jenice Armstrong, Terri Guard and Lacora Emercon.
  • Chief Conductor Charles Dutoit and The Philadelphia Orchestra, who are celebrating 30 magnificent years of musical collaboration together in 2010, kick off Philadelphia's cultural season with the Opening Concert and Gala of the Orchestra's 111th season last night, at The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. Also performing was renowned violinist and multiple Grammy Award-winner Joshua Bell. Because of my busy night, I went over on my lunch hour and grabbed a shot of the duo after their rehearsal on the day of the event.
  • The Cashman girls and an alumni. Laura Krebs, Ashley Schaeffer, Susan Norcross and Ellie Kosarek worked hard and the results were in the success of the event.
  • Holding her crown, Miss Philadelphia Andrea Helfrich, her mom Susan Helfrich, Tony Orlando, but I don't think those folks look like Dawn. Were all having a great time.

  • Nora Meyers, General Manager of 10 Rittenhouse with Cindy Mastrow. My pick for next week is the 17th Annual Phasion Phest being held on 9/28 on 12th Street between Race and Arch Streets. Check out the Philadelphia Collection schedule for more super events. This town is coming alive with fashion.
  • America’s Next Top Model Judge and world famous fashion photographer, Nigel Barker. Even the Mayor Nutter came out to introduce the popular judge, who was also here to promote his new book "Beauty Equation: Revealing a Better and More Beautiful You". But first up he introduced the latest fall collections at Macy's.
  • Seen in the audience was City Rep Director Melanie Johnson who was very instrumental in putting together the events surround Philadelphia Fashion Collection. With her is Janelle Jones, Deputy Managing Director (Wife of Councilman Curtis Jones) and nearby I saw Center City Districts Michelle Shannon, and City Rep deputy Margaret Hughes.
  • You'd better work, work it girl on the runway under the watchful eye of Jimmy "Style" Contreras on the far right.
  • CW's Vittoria Woodill works the runway. Then I received a tip from one of my readers of a Kendra Sighting and I was out of there.
  • CW's Kharisma McIlwaine was sporting a colorful dress under a herringbone wool coat. I'm all about a little color and moving away from the little black dress.
  • Wednesday Fashion Collection brought us, and a nice crowd to Macy's Center City. Everyone loves a fashion show, but this one had a special guest attached.
  • Then it was off to The Rittenhouse Row Festival under the production of Corie Moskow and Llana Waber of Gloss PR. Here's Cori with Brett Silver. Brett is the trail blazer in Philly's social coverage, but has told me recently that he's getting out of the business and is moving in the direction of marketing and web enhancement. Good luck Brett.
  • Janice Lim, the newly engaged Danielle Poe, Menzfit's Brian Lipstein, Stephanie Rybczyk and Heather Heo. The girls are sporting South Moon Under clothing and walked in the Rittenhouse Row's Fall fashion show.
  • Erin Elmore (on right) with her fellow Kenneth Cole models.
  • Evan and Lynsie Solomon reminded me that on October 10, that I needed to attend the 10th annual Friends of the American Cancer Society Party with a Purpose honoring Lauren Hart, at the Waterworks. I'll be there, it's on my calendar.
  • Jen Hoffman, Tina Elmer, Kim Meyer and Sarah Shaffer enjoyed the evening of food and spirits. James Clelend from Max Brenner Philadelphia won the bartender competition at the Rittenhouse Row Fall Gathering (beating 18 other bars and restaurants in Rittenhouse Row). In honor of this win, they will be serving Drunken Punken Nog. Made with White chocolate ganache House, Organic Pumpkin Purée, Cruzan # 9 garnished with a cinnamon stick and nutmeg on the rimat at Max Brenner's until Halloween.
  • Fashion forward, Phasion backwards, but in a good way as the 17th Annual Phasion Phest on September 28, 2010 returns to the tunnel under the convention center on 12th Street where it was held 7 years ago. I was excited to go and experience the grand daddy of all the fashion shows conceptualized by Executive Producer, Sharon Phillips Waxman of SPW Productions in a real urban setting such as the bustling city street. The show brings together the Philadelphia area’s upscale retailers, salons, and accessory boutiques to promote the fashion and beauty industry in the Delaware Valley and gives the public a real sense of what’s available for the fall in the Philadelphia market.
  • For the eighth year, Phashion Phest included the Fresh Face Model Search competition. An open call for aspiring models in Philadelphia was held on August 21st, at The Shops at Liberty Place in search of non-professional, fresh-faced models to take part in this year’s Phashion Phest and its associated events. Seven finalists were selected Each model made their debut on the Phashion Phest runway. One Grand Prize Winner will be selected the night of Phashion Phest to be escorted by an agency scout to New York City to interview with top agencies. The winner will also receive a photo shoot by a local photographer and a makeover by a participating Phashion Phest salon. The winner was Helana Davidson 4th from right. (I wish I knew the rest of the models names but it was a steaming hot night, they were in furs and quickly dispersed after the press got their shots. See you next year.
